At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, BLACKPINK secured the "Best Group" award by beating a lineup that included Katseye, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, Jonas Brothers, Imagine Dragons, and Coldplay. The win resulted in quick online reactions.
A fan didn't hold back, saying:

Additionally, other BLACKPINK members, Rosé and Lisa, also won at the ceremony. Rosé won Song of the Year for her collaboration "APT." with Bruno Mars. She became the first K-pop artist to take home the honor. Lisa won Best K-pop for her track with Doja Cat and RAYE called "Born Again."

Fans did not waste time in jump into the comment section of the X post as they shared their remarks on the group's latest achievement:

"LETS F**KING GOOOOOOO THE GREATEST KPOP ARTIST BAND OF ALL TIME, THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE FOUGHT FOR....", hyped another.
"AND I SPEAK FOR US ALL WHEN I SAY THAT THIS IS DESERVED BLACKPINK ARE THE QUEENS", stated a third.
Others also chimed in:

Rosé's solo win came for her track with Bruno Mars, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. In her acceptance speech, she dedicated the award to her younger self. On the other hand, Lisa's win in the Best K-pop category with "Born Again" extended her personal record at the VMAs as she tied with BTS for the most wins in the category's history.
