At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, BLACKPINK secured the "Best Group" award by beating a lineup that included Katseye, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, Jonas Brothers, Imagine Dragons, and Coldplay. The win resulted in quick online reactions.

Additionally, other BLACKPINK members, Rosé and Lisa, also won at the ceremony. Rosé won Song of the Year for her collaboration "APT." with Bruno Mars. She became the first K-pop artist to take home the honor. Lisa won Best K-pop for her track with Doja Cat and RAYE called "Born Again."

Fans did not waste time in jump into the comment section of the X post as they shared their remarks on the group's latest achievement:

"no hate, but what significant thing did they do this year to win this award tho?", asked a netizen.

"LETS F**KING GOOOOOOO THE GREATEST KPOP ARTIST BAND OF ALL TIME, THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE FOUGHT FOR....", hyped another.

"AND I SPEAK FOR US ALL WHEN I SAY THAT THIS IS DESERVED BLACKPINK ARE THE QUEENS", stated a third.

Others also chimed in:

"BLACKPINK in your trophy area! 🖤💗 Queens just took home Best Group at the #VMAs world domination continues.", commented an X user.

"Oh they know who the biggest and most influential kpop group of all time are. Blackpink paved the way and all the haters on twitter will never change that", added another.

"Congratulations to BLACKPINK on winning Best Group at the VMAs! They were up against some serious competition but they absolutely deserve this win.", penned a third.

Rosé's solo win came for her track with Bruno Mars, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. In her acceptance speech, she dedicated the award to her younger self. On the other hand, Lisa's win in the Best K-pop category with "Born Again" extended her personal record at the VMAs as she tied with BTS for the most wins in the category's history.
