After becoming the first member of BTS to be relieved of his duties from the South Korean military, Jin launched a charm offensive that captured the attention of fans all over the world. After releasing his first solo album, Happy, Jin is back with another album, Echo, which features 7 tracks in total.

Even as the songs are making waves on social media, some have speculated that the 7 tracks could be an ode to the seven members of BTS.

The BTS member first teased the release of the album with a couple of vignettes that gave fans a glimpse into the album. On May 16, the album was released with much fanfare on social media channels and showcases a completely different take on the musician's perspectives.

From Don’t Say You Love Me's synth pop vibes to Loser's (feat. Yena) rock-based concept, Echo promises to bring different genres together. To put the icing on the cake, Jin has also experimented with country music themes with his track Rope.

Other songs, such as Nothing Without Your Love, With the Clouds, Background, and To Me, Today, complete the eclectic album that promises to bring the house down for fans. The news was also met with great enthusiasm on social media, with fans going gaga with their praise for the prolific artist.

One fan commented:

Motivations behind Jin's Echo

In a recent interview with USA TODAY, Jin touched upon his thought process and the hours that went into creating Echo. Elaborating on the themes prevalent in the album, the BTS star said:

"The definition of love can be different for the different tracks in this album. I think love comes in many forms. It could be love between lovers (or) between family members ... Friendship can be another form of love. So I wanted to touch on these multiple aspects of love."

He then went on to explain:

"When writing 'Loser', I imagined if I dated someone back in my school days, I would have felt this way about this person, and for 'Don't Say You Love Me', it's really about how lovers know that their relationship is falling apart, but because there is that lingering love left, it's really hard to let go. I think there are all these different types of love, and love is such a comprehensive term that really embodies all of these facets. So this is truly an album that is full of love."

In conclusion, the album Echo showcases Jin's prowess as an artist by venturing into different genres with each of the songs. The timing of the album has also been a topic of discussion amongst the fans, especially as it precedes the much-anticipated reunion of BTS, with the remaining members also scheduled to finish their service in June.

It remains to be seen how the album will be received by the fans, although if the hype is anything to go by, the echoes of the track will soon be heard the world over. After wrapping up the promotional activities for his album, Jin is set to take off on his first solo world tour.
