Lady Gaga returned to Brazil for a standalone concert on May 3, 2025, after her last performance in 2012. The free concert, organized by the Rio de Janeiro government, saw a massive crowd, with approximately 2.1 million attendees. The concert reportedly broke the record for the biggest standalone concert, surpassing Madonna's 2024 concert, which had 1.6 million fans.

Pop Base posted that achievement on its X channel, after the numbers were confirmed by the City Hall of Rio de Janeiro. According to BBC, the concert was paid for by the city in an effort to "revitalize Rio's economy."

Fans took to the post's comment section and showered praise for the singer. One user (@arianatorswilldt) described Gaga as,

Many netizens also praised the crowd for supporting and singing along with Gaga. Millions were heard singing Abracadabra and other hit tracks along with the singer. One user (@popsvibe) wrote,

Gaga's Copacabana Beach standalone concert drew record-breaking attendees. Fans had previously gathered around the beach to see Lady Gaga's rehearsals. The Alejandro singer reportedly addressed the crowd multiple times during her performance. She said,

"Tonight, we're making history. ...Thank you for making history with me."

At another point in the concert, she noted,

“Your spirit may be heard around the world tonight. Two and a half million people.”

She expressed gratitude towards her fans and said,

"Thank you for making history with me… The people of Brazil are the reason why I can shine.”

In related news, the Poker Face singer has added dates to her Mayhem Ball tour. In an Instagram post (@ladygaga), she revealed her plans to tour only till "Singapore." However, she added more dates, seeing "the incredible response" to her "new album."


Lady Gaga expressed her love for Brazil and the joy of returning to the country after many years. The singer and her team appeared to have an emotional moment and thanked her "little monsters" for making the event possible, marking another significant achievement. She expressed gratitude towards the attendees and performed her hits of all time.
