Young Thug Summer Smash highlights

As mentioned above, Young Thug has had several highlight-worthy moments during his performance. The first of these was when he brought out Travis Scott for a surprise performance of the song Hot. The duo then went on to later perform a cover of Scott's Fein! in front of an ecstatic crowd.

Young Thug brought out Ken Carson

At another point in the concert, Young Thug brought out Ken Carson to debut their new collaborative single, RIP Scuti. The song seemed to be well received by the crowd attending the festival, Thug starting out the song with his signature style and then Carson coming in to join him midway through to lend his vocal panache to the piece.

Thug and T.I. perform About The Money

Thug also brought in T.I. to make another mark on the concert, with the duo performing their 2014 song, About The Money. The hitmaker, released on June 2, 2014, has 373 million (and counting) views on the official YouTube channel of T.I.

It is the second most popular song on T.I.'s channel after his collaboration with Iggy Azalea, No Mediocore. The duo performed the song together for the first time since Thug got out of prison.

Thug crowdsurfed while performing Money On Money

In another star moment, the rapper crowdsurfed during his performance of the song Money On Money. The video posted by the news channel 42 news shows the rapper asking the crowd to open up some space and prepare before the music for the song begins, and he starts crowdsurfing while performing the song, to some approval from the crowd.

Thug censors Gunna's name from Ski

Thug censored Gunna's name from the song Ski when he performed it at the Summer Smash festival. The singer is clearly seen skipping Gunna's name from the lyrics in the video snippet posted on social media, which goes as follows when Gunna's name is present:

"B***h got a Backwood on her nightstand/She must be fu***n' with Gunna (yeah, yeah)/I f**k with slatts and we come to eat racks/And I came with some fu***n' piranhas (yeah)"

The rapper interacted with fans at the festival

The rapper also frequently interacted with fans at the festival. From bringing one fan onstage during one part of the performance to taking selfies with fans, the rapper was clearly on a mission to reconnect with his fans after his hiatus due to incarceration and his RICO trial.
