DJ Akademiks' birthday shout-out to the iconic Canadian rapper Drake has caused much social media buzz. Drake celebrated his 39th birthday on Friday, October 25, 2025, and received several wishes from fans and colleagues.
Popular American YouTuber DJ Akademiks took to his official X account, formerly Twitter, to share a biting birthday shout-out. He clapped back at Drake’s haters, claiming he is now being missed in the industry.
“Happy bday to drake man.. A lot of salty niggas tried to make it cool to hate on a nigga that gave us nothing but hits for 15+ years.”
He added:
“Even all them haters now admitting they miss him cuz the industry dry. Hating as a trend is lame asf.”
Earlier in the day, Akademiks celebrated the “God’s Plan” hitmaker on his official TV account and listed some of his achievements.
“Happy Birthday to the greatest rapper of all time, my glorious King Drizzy Drake,” he wrote.
The tweet continued:

In addition to celebrating his life, the Canadian rapper celebrated his first-ever RIAA Diamond-certified album. On Friday, October 24, it was announced that Drake’s second studio album, released on November 15, 2011, had been certified Diamond by the RIAA after selling over 10,000,000 units.
