The Turn My Swag On singer, Soulja Boy, is making waves again on social media. He is known for making proactive statements on social media, and recently, he took a shot at Drake in his latest (now deleted) tweet on X (formerly Twitter).
Drake and Soulja Boy have a history of feuds, from erratic tweets on social media platforms to calling out in public. This is what Soulja tweeted on his X:
''You a b*tch a** n***a @Drake keep playing with me im gon show yo p**sy a** n***a.''
This is what one of the netizens had to say about it:
''How old are you? You still talk like that?''- said @hunterheisley
Internet reacts over Soulja Boy's tweet targeting Drake
Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, has recently garnered attention from netizens as he made a tweet (now deleted) on X targeting the Best I Ever Had singer, Drake.
While the tweet sounded like a warning, not clear for exactly what, it has sparked discussion among netizens. Here is what some of them have to say regarding the tweet Soulja Boy made:
''Why you always up set with somebody 🙄🥴''- questioned @Lea_Lush
''I'd let him express himself because nobody cares anyway, how about making some music, oh yeah nobody will listen to that either 😂''- penned @MarcoKelly_23
''Damn, Soulja really that pressed over Drake? 🤔''- remarked @SwaggyMcNasty
Some netizens felt that Soulja has tweeted for attention. This is what they had to say:
''This tweet will get more likes than all of Soulja’s album sales from the last decade combined.''- added @elbirdleaf
''I feel Soulja boy just does weird out of the way shit when people stop talking about him''- stated @TheLipBitch
The beef between Drake and Soulja began back in 2019 when Soulja accused Drake of stealing his flow. He claimed that Drake copied his song What's Hannenin. He made this statement while he was being interviewed on The Breakfast Club.
He said,
“That’s my bar! He copied my whole f—ing flow! Word for word, bar for bar. Don’t act like I didn’t make Drake, n—a. Don’t do that.”
Soulja said that Drake took the first line from his song and used it in his track Miss Me which featured Lil Wayne.
Over the years, Drake and Soulja have had an on-and-off relationship. In 2013, they collaborated on a track titled We Made It from the mixtape The King. However, over the years, there have been tensions between the two artists, where Soulja had accused Drake of not supporting him and even copying his music style.
He also said that since Drake had copied his style in music, people would never know where the original music came from, and that way, he would not be getting the credit he deserves. Currently, Drake has not responded to the tweet Soulja made on May 3, 2025.
