Joe Budden, known for his single Pump It Up, is making waves online after he spoke about Drake’s new song, Which One, with Central Cee and said it didn’t create much excitement. On his The Joe Budden Podcast, in the episode titled Anticipating Drake’s New Album | “I’m Not Excited,'' he reviewed the latest offering from Drake.

In the podcast, when Joe was asked about his views on Drake’s upcoming album Iceman, he said:

''I'm not all the way excited like waiting for. Of course, when it comes, I'mma listen.''

According to reports, Drake's new album might be released in October, under the brand October’s Very Own.

In The Joe Budden Podcast, Joe, along with his fellow host, discussed Drake's single Which One and the Iceman rollout. They discussed Drake’s new song, "Which One," featuring Central Cee, and noted it didn’t generate a lot of buzz. Which One, is the second single from Drake's upcoming ninth studio album, Iceman, and was released in July 2025.

According to TMZ, he even made fun of the song’s Caribbean-style beat, joking that it’s the kind of track that only plays at certain NYC lounges during quiet hours, when someone like Thanasis Antetokounmpo (NBA player and Giannis' brother) might request it.

Joe then admitted he’s not the best person to discuss Drake’s new album plans, noting that DJ Akademiks is more into the details and updates of Drake's music. Their conversation also focused on whether audiences are feeling Drake’s new era, especially after the lukewarm reaction.

Which One had debuted at No. 23 in its first week on the Billboard Hot 100; it was solid but not Drake’s highest ever. Drake streamed the track during a livestream called Iceman: Episode 2. This was part of the promo for his upcoming album, Iceman.

As of now, Drake has not replied to Joe Budden’s criticism of Which One or the sentiments he shared on the upcoming album on The Joe Budden Podcast. According to CapitalXTRA, Joe and Drake have had a long-running feud dating back to 2016. It all began when Budden criticized Drake's fourth album, Views, and called it ''uninspired.'' In a podcast episode, he said:

''That kid on that album that I heard sounds real f*ckin’ uninspired. That’s what I think. I think that that music is real good. You can’t fool a real n*gga. That music sounds good and I enjoyed it 40, you sound amazing. 40 continues to progress. Drake, you do not.''

The beef between the two had escalated when Joe released a diss track aimed at Drake, including Making a Murderer Pt. 1 and Afraid, in which he accused Drake of being passive and overly commercial. Over the years, Budden had criticized Drake's tracks on his podcast. Although it looked like their beef had cooled off, it was never truly resolved.
