Kelsea Ballerini just closed her "Kelsea Ballerini - Live On Tour" last month on April 13 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The tour was a promotion of her fifth studio album, Patterns, which was released in October 2024. Another side quest Ballerini recently accomplished is being a judge on The Voice Season 27. This is her first time as a judge on the reality singing competition. She was joined by other judges, including John Legend, Michael Bublé, and Adam Levine.
On May 29, 2025, Kelsea was on the American daytime talk show Today with Jenna & Friends. She talked about her upcoming plans for the summer and said:
"I need a break! And I’ve never been able to say that before, but I really think it’s just time for me to pump the brakes, figure out what’s next, have a summer, what? Go to the beach? Huh? Learn to cook a new meal, hang out with the dogs. So that’s kind of my agenda."
She added:
"Every time I say that I have time off, something happens. But I’m very open to whatever is out there."
Kelsea Ballerini talks about her future with The Voice
The Voice Season 27 was Kelsea Ballerini's first entry into the judging world. You can say she has done an amazing job at her first attempt in the judge's chair. She managed to take one of her team members, Jaelen Johnston, all the way to the finish line, where he came in second place, losing to Michael Bublé's Adam David.
During the Today with Jenna & Friends interview, she was asked if she would get back on the chair as a judge. Ballerini replied:
"Never say never... It's been such a beautiful season of doing things that are out of my comfort zone and bigger than I’ve ever done, and it’s been really fulfilling. I love being in that seat."

To top it off, Kelsea was named "Power of Women Nashville" by Variety. During an interview, she shared:
"I’m very aware of my flaws... But in the same breath, I fully accept and celebrate myself right now. You have to learn yourself before you love yourself, and I had learning to do."
