About Jennie's song 'Twins'

Jennie from BLACKPINK has once again demonstrated why she is one of the most successful musicians in the business. The K-pop star has ignited the internet with her eagerly awaited debut solo album, Ruby, which was released on March 7.

Her admirers are especially moved by her unfiltered emotions and narrative. Above all, she has demonstrated on her new album that she isn't scared to show her emotions.

Jennie co-wrote the song with Michael Williams II, Christopher Newlin, and Bibi Bourelly.

In an interview with Zane Low for Apple Music, Jennie said:

"That song (Twin) is a very special song for me, maybe the most personal song. But by the time we were done with the song, I read it back, and I was like, ‘Okay, people can resonate with this.’ There’s got to be someone that makes everyone feel this way."

Throughout the song, Jennie's emotion was evident, and as the words spread on social media, people instantly connected to the sense of longing. Many others found personal resonance in the lyrics, remembering past romances and the heartbreaking pain of drifting apart.

The discovery that Jennie's new song Twin was dedicated to a former acquaintance rather than a love connection. However, it was what really garnered notice online. As a result, many online speculated that the members of BLACKPINK may be alluding to her friend and former idol, Chahee.
