Doechii is gearing up for her August 2, 2025, performance at Lollapalooza, and she won’t be doing it alone. In an X post on July 31, 2025, the Grammy Award-winning singer and rapper shared that she was considering bringing out a famous artist to rock out with her on the grand stage. She wrote:
“Im thinking about bringing a guest to DOECHII-PALOOZA …Who should it be?”
Whilst the singer’s replies were flooded with suggestions from fans, one might have to wait till her performance to find out who she eventually comes out with.
“When I look at pop culture right now, I’m just trying to figure out,” Doechii says in a Vogue interview
The 26-year-old singer is one of the hottest hip-hop artists right now. After cinching the highly coveted Best Rap Album award at the Grammys in February 2025, she was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year in March.
In a July 2025 interview with Vogue, she stated that while she wasn’t yet sure of the kind of project she’d put out as her second album, she could assure fans that it would be similar to the set in terms of vulnerability:
"I know it’s gonna be a similar theme from my last project, of a real, deep vulnerability,” she says. “It’s gonna be the new lessons that I’m learning, and that’s why I say it’s hard to talk about now, because I’m still learning.”
Doechii shared her opinion on pop culture, stating that she didn’t believe that the current generation had a superstar:
"We don’t really have a superstar of this generation just yet, because there hasn’t been enough time.”
She added that she was still figuring out what it would take for her to achieve the superstar status:
"When I look at pop culture right now, I’m just trying to figure out, ‘OK, what does a Doechii superstar look like? What does it take to make that?’ I have no clue. I’m still figuring it out.”
Denial is a River hitmaker is slated to perform alongside artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter and A$AP Rocky. More than 170 artists will hit Lollapalooza’s eight stages from July 31 to August 3, 2025.
