One-half of the donation was given to Manifest Freedom, an organization run by attorney Brittany K. Barnett, which supports people who have been/ are impacted by incarceration.
The organization’s success stories include the Sotelo Brothers and some residents of Fort Worth granted clemency by President Donald Trump. The other 50% was given to another non-profit, Urban Specialists.
This organization aims to reduce violence and create a safe environment for kids to grow up in. In an interview with Fox 4 News, NBA Youngboy revealed that his efforts were in a bid to “just help in any way”:
"You know, a lot of people be getting hurt, so it ain’t really cool at this point to me, so I just want to help in any way I [can]," he said.
