Popular American rapper Offset recently spoke about his relationship with Cardi B after their split. The rapper joined the Associated Press for an interview, which was published on YouTube on Friday, August 16, 2025, and spoke about where his relationship is with the βWAPβ rapper.
He confirmed during the interview that his recent song βMove Onβ was about the end of his relationship with Cardi.
In the short clip, which has garnered nearly 10,000 views, the rapper shared that he's been peacefully moving on from his relationship with Cardi B.
βIt's about moving on. Like peacefully. That's what the message is supposed to be: moving peacefully. It's all love, peace. It's love. I just ended that up with just to end that chapter of that sh*t. Because itβs over and done with, it was great while it lasted. You know what I mean? That shouldn't be a topic for neither one of us no more. You know, so it's a book that's closed.β
Offset and Cardi B married on September 20, 2017, in a private ceremony in their bedroom. The couple didn't officially announce their marriage until a few months later. The couple has three children together, including 6-year-old Kulture, 3-year-old Wave, and Blossom, born in September 2024.
In 2024, Cardi B filed for a divorce- her second public filing- from Offset. She and the rapper had been having an on-and-off relationship until Cardi decided to end the relationship permanently. While the divorce hasn't been finalized, the couple has been separated for a while and linked to different love interests.
