The Jonas Brothers have cancelled multiple stadium shows for their highly anticipated JONAS 20: Living the Dream Tour. Recently, the band took to social media to inform their fans that six shows from their upcoming tour are canceled and are now being rescheduled to other venues. The band has failed to provide an explanation as to why they have abruptly changed their plans, but they have pointed out that they will still be using the same dates.
Though a refund has been announced for the impacted fans, the sudden change in direction has left the fans scratching their heads in confusion. These fans will also be given preference for the presale tickets for the newly announced shows, which kick off on June 18, 2025. The Jonas Brothers released a statement informing fans of the change in plans, in which they said:
"To the fans, we are so excited to get out and be with you for our 20th anniversary tour! We’re making some venue changes. But rest assured, all performances are still happening on the same dates and in the same cities. … Previous ticket purchasers for the affected Ticketmaster shows get first priority presale access for the new venue performance. Access to the priority presale is tied to your Ticketmaster account; no additional code is needed. Refunds will be issued automatically to all ticket holders of affected shows."
List of affected shows on the Jonas Brothers tour
The Jonas 20: Living the Dream Tour was announced back in March as a commemoration of the formation of the band. The tour was made public by the Jonas Brothers in their appearance on Good Morning America and marks the 20th anniversary of the band. The tour will reportedly feature 43 concerts in total, and it has built a ton of excitement amongst fans already.
However, with the notable change in venues of six of the events concerned, some fans have been left disappointed. Although the reasons for the venue change have not been disclosed, the smaller capacity of the newer venues suggests the decision was a logistical one.
The affected concerts include shows that were scheduled at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park, Chicago's Wrigley Field, Detroit’s Comerica Park, Texas' Globe Life Field, and Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium. These shows have now been swapped by the following:
Jiffy Lube Live in place of Nationals Park on August 12
Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in place of Citizens Bank Park on August 14
Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in place of Wrigley Field on August 26
Little Caesars Arena in place of Comerica Park on August 28
Dos Equis Pavilion in place of Globe Life Field on August 31
Intuit Dome in place of Dodger Stadium on September 6
Many fans have expressed disappointment at the short notice, and the short window before the presale has only added to the fans' frustrations. As refunds are processed and remaining shows adjusted, the Jonas Brothers face an uphill task allaying the fans' frustrations.
Jonas20: Living the Dream Tour is set to kick off at the MetLife Stadium on August 10 and will see the Jonas Brothers performing all across North America. The tour coincides with the release of their new album Greetings from Your Hometown, which is scheduled to drop on August 8, 2025, and songs from the album are bound to feature on the tour as well.
