Kevin Gates and NBA YoungBoy have reportedly quashed their beef. The duo reportedly made a truce and collaborated on the former's upcoming album, Luca Brasi 4, which will be released on August 13, 2025, through Bread Winner Records.

Kevin Gates and NBA YoungBoy's beef reportedly started in 2018, when Gates apparently sided with another unnamed artist who had beef with YoungBoy. Gates has, however, never properly acknowledged the beef, even going so far as to mock a fan who was trying to ignite some social media spat between him and YoungBoy in 2020. In 2022, Kevin Gates also denied beefing with NBA YoungBoy.
However, the rumors of the beef have persisted due to a drunken rant that Gates made in 2020, which is believed to be about YoungBoy. In the rant, Gates talks about his 'young friend' and states:
"It takes a man to stand over kids b**ch. I might can’t get you but amma get your mama. He is young, and I saw a lot of myself in him, and you know am like yeah I love him, so I put him under my wings. They want you to think different of me you stupid mutha****a, your h*e control you, you b**ch,"

Kevin Gates started his career back in the early 2000s. The rapper was born Kevin Jerome Gilyard on February 5, 1986. The rapper released his first mixtape, Pick of Da Litter, in 2007, which was a collaboration with Boosie Badazz and Webbie.
