Ice Spice and Latto have put an end to their rumored beef by officially collaborating on a new track called Gyatt.
The duo shared the news in a joint post on their respective Instagram accounts. While the audio has been released on Latto’s official YouTube channel on September 3, the video for the track will be out on September 4, 2025.
The news has come as a shock to their fans, as the singers, given their history, were reportedly dissing each other in their music. This led their fans to believe that there would be continued rivalry between the two rather than unity. A fan took to X, saying that the track is a:
“Mad collab.”
Gyatt is produced by Pooh Beatz, Go Grizzly, Cheeze Beatz, and SupaKaine. Before the release of Gyatt, Ice Spice last released her lead single Think U the Sh*t (F*rt) in January 2024. It was part of her studio album, Y2K!.
Here is how the others reacted.
Netizens react as Ice Spice and Latto release collaborative track Gyatt
The surprise release of Gyatt by Latto and Ice Spice sparked a wide range of reactions from their fans online. Many were shocked given the alleged beef between the two which started in 2023. Here is what they said:
“Latto and ice spice really said let’s make song of the summer before it’s too late. The moment the beat drops, you just know it's going to be a whole vibe. Latto's flow is so fierce, and Ice Spice brings that signature laid-back energy that we all love,” a user noted.
“They looks amazing! Love them,” another user chimed in.
A third added:
“The type of music video I would watch,” a fourth commented.
However, some users had a different opinion.
“so unoriginal they literally had to steal the old WWF/WWE logo font,” a user remarked.
How did the beef between Latto and Ice Spice begin?
The beef between Latto and Ice Spice started mainly through a series of subtle social media interactions, cryptic posts, and lyrical jabs hurled at each other.
According to a report in Complex, it began in October 2023 with the release of Latto’s Fine As Can Be when fans speculated that she was taking shots at Ice by referencing, “Munch (Feelin’ U).” The lyrics of her song go:
“That n**ga a munch/ Yo’ bookin’ fee, ate it for lunch/ I don’t do backends, need it up front/ I’m big dawg, you b**ches is runts/ Don’t pull wigs, don’t pull stunts/ I pull triggers and I pull blunts/ I pull cars like it’s Tonk/ B**ch, you couldn’t top me in the bunk.”

In her response, Ice Spice fired back with her song, Think You Sh*t F*rt. In July 2024, in an interview with the Rolling Stone, the singer said that she considers their alleged feud nothing more than a joke. She said:
“I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me.”
While addressing the dispute with Ice, Latto told Billboard,
“If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like Imma go tit for tat with. I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.’”
However, the two have now dismissed these rumors by releasing their latest track.
