Adele has not released a new album since her 2021 release, 30. However, according to a rumor published by Pop Tingz on their official X page on August 30, 2025, the singer is set to release her 5th album next year in 2026. Furthermore, according to the rumor, the album will feature music inspired by London night pubs, European pop, and some house music elements.
This rumor has triggered reactions from fans, as exemplified by the tweet below:
"MOTHER IS COMING BACK"
Other fans reacted similarly, with many excited at the rumour of another album by the singer:
"AND I SPEAK FOR US ALL WHEN I SAY THAT WE WILL BE STREAMING." one fan reacted.
"Adele serving pints and house beats on Album 5?This gonna hit different." another fan stated.
"EVERY FANDOM WILL BE STREAMING." one commenter opined.
To be clear, the rumor remains just that, a rumor. It has not been picked up by any other publications. It also contradicts the singer's previous statements regarding her next album.
In 2024, during one of her Weekends With Adele residency shows in Las Vegas, the singer stated to the crowd that she does not have any plans to release a new album for quite some time:
"I just don’t think I’m gonna write an album for quite some time. But next time I do, I'll come to wherever it is you live."
This statement to her fans, in turn, was a reaffirmation of her previous statement to Germany's ZDF media broadcaster in July 2024. The singer stated in that interview that she was ready for a break and did not have any plans for new music:
"I don’t have any plans for new music at all I want a big break after all this and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while. You know, I don’t even sing at home at all. How strange is that?"
Adele released a live album in 2025
While the singer has not released a new studio album since 2021, she released a new live album, based on her Weekends With Adele residency shows. The live album, which had a limited release, is titled the Weekends with Adele Live in Las Vegas.
The limited edition album featured a three-LP box set as well as a photo book and confetti from the show. The album was released via Columbia Records. The singer previously had a live album in the form of Live at the Royal Albert Hall, released all the way back in 2011.
Adele is one of the most popular British singers of the modern decades, with her albums having made her about $220 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth. The singer has sixteen Grammy Awards as well as several other major awards under her belt and is considered to be an icon of modern music, with fame commensurate with it.
In the same interview with ZFD quoted above, Adele also talked about dealing with fame in her career, stating:
"I don’t like being famous. I love making music and that people are receptive to it and like it…but the fame side of it, I absolutely hate and I miss everything about who I was [before becoming a celebrity],"
Adele is best known for her second studio album, 21, which was released in 2011. The album went on to win the British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards as well as the Album of the Year award at the Grammy Awards.
