My Morning Jacket 2025 tour: Ticket info, dates, venues, and more explored

My Morning Jacket is officially hitting the road in 2025. The band has announced a new run of U.S. dates which will span the late summer and fall, with multiple multi-night residencies and five exclusive shows that will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their beloved 2005 album Z.

The "My Morning Jacket is On Tour" dates will begin on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in Bend, Oregon. The run will wrap up on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. The 2025 tour has also been designed to support the band's latest studio album, is, which was released in March 2025.

The Z anniversary shows are expected to give fans a rare chance to hear the album performed in full from start to finish.

My Morning Jacket took to their official Instagram handle to announce the special tour shows. The long post read:

"Hello friends, we are writing a quick note to welcome you all to summer and about our fall and future tours. First off, we hope you all are having a fun and peace-filled summer so far. We miss you (which is funny to say since it's only been about a month or two since we came home from our last run), and so we are beyond excited to see you all in August and then later in the fall. Once we reconvene, it's probably going to feel like coming back from summer break back in school to see all of our friends and talk about what we got up to."

The post continued:

"What we are up to right now - exploring the world, learning new things, soaking up little magic filled moments, spending quality time with loved ones, and trying to rest up as much as possible to give you ALL of our energy once we see you again. October 4 is the 20th anniversary of our album Z. It's pretty wild to think about that. To celebrate 2 decades of it being out in the ether, we are turning 5 of our shows into special Z anniversary shows, where we will play that album (and some other songs, don't worry) front to back."

My Morning Jacket concluded the Instagram post, saying:

"Those shows will be: Our Red Rocks show on 8/15, our Los Angeles show on 8/19, our Brooklyn show on 10/16, our Chicago show on 10/26, and our Atlanta show on 11/1. And that brings us to our final note about 2026 and future shows. We are going to tour next year, rest assured, but it will be somewhat limited. And with that, because we have had a fantastic 2 years of One Big Holiday in both Mexico in 2024 and Florida in 2025, we are taking a break from having the festival in 2026. But we will return in 2027 with another OBH, and we are really looking forward to that! My Morning Jacket was formed in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1998. The band's music spans alt-country, classic rock, and psychedelia genres. Led by frontman Jim James, My Morning Jacket's breakthrough came with It Still Moves (2003), followed by the relatively experimental Z (2005).

My Morning Jacket's current lineup includes James, Carl Broemel on guitar, Bo Koster on keyboards, Tom Blankenship on bass, and Patrick Hallahan on drums.
