NCT WISH is a subunit of the main NCT group and is managed jointly by SM Entertainment and Japanese label Avex Trax. The group was the final subunit to be formed under the NCT group and consisted of Sion, Riku, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya, respectively.
The group released their debut studio album, Wishful, in 2024. This was after they had released their debut mini album, Steady, in the same year. The group released their second EP, Poppop, on April 14, 2025.
The group talked about their career in an exclusive interview with L'Officiel Malaysia on October 30, 2024, with group member Yushi elaborating on what it was like working with producer BoA:
"Working alongside Producer BoA, a legendary artist with a remarkable career, has been an extraordinary experience. Her invaluable insights on connecting with the audience have greatly guided us, providing us with the tools to grow as artists."
He continued:
"We’ve learned so much from her already, and I genuinely look forward to the many lessons and experiences that lie ahead as we continue this journey together."
Ryo also talked about working with BoA:
"Working with Producer BoA has provided invaluable support in multiple areas of my growth as an artist, from our debut track to our first mini-album. Her insights on enhancing our live performance skills were particularly impactful and have profoundly influenced our development."
NCT WISH is the final subunit of NCT. The other NCT subunits are NCT 127, WayV, NCT Dream, and NCT DoJaeJung. NCT WISH achieved their best success so far with the debut mini album mentioned above, Steady. Steady is now a platinum-certified record, the group's highest-certified album.
