Ariana Grande is setting the record straight about her music career.

The songstress addressed rumors that she will be taking a step back from singing and songwriting in a new post on Instagram, shared on Wednesday, July 16. In a short statement, she asserted that she is committed to the arts and that she may be currently busy, but will always make time for it.

"very silly of you all to assume that just because i have my hands full with many things that i plan to abandon singing & music … !!!" she began. "it is and has always been my lifeline. there will need to be room made for all of it. 🧚🏼‍♂️ it may not look exactly like it did before but i much prefer how it looks in my head. i am having fun. i feel grateful and excited and inspired. :) finding a balance, between many projects and endeavors i love, and doing it my own way… so i’m working on a plan to sing for you all next year. even if it’s just for a little," she added.

She signed her statement off with an "i love you" to all her fans.

Everything we know about Ariana Grande's plans to hit the road for a tour as her record label confirms there will be nothing this year

Ariana Grande has been making strides in her acting career with the release of Wicked, and she was just announced as a voice actor in John M. Chu’s “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” film, alongside Josh Gad.

However, despite the rampant rumors that suggest otherwise, she has made it clear that music is her priority. Just last year, she debuted her seventh album, Eternal Sunshine. She followed it up with the release of “Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead,” this March, and it features six more tracks.

A spokesperson for the songstress told Variety in a statement that the songstress will always be focused on music:

“Ariana’s plate is definitely full right now, but she’s genuinely enjoying this chapter,” they said. “She’s loving the opportunity to dive deeper into acting, and she remains incredibly hands-on with her various businesses. That said, Ariana has always been and continues to be a musician first. The goal is to find a rhythm where all of these creative outlets can coexist, and she’s very much in the process of building that balance out.”

The sequel to Wicked, Wicked: For Good, is expected to roll onto the big screens on November 21. In it, Ariana Grande plays Glinda the Good Witch alongside Cynthia Erivo.

Back in December, Ariana Grande's label confirmed that the songstress had no plans on hitting the road for a tour this year, though her Instagram statement alluded to something small being in the works. As of this writing, details remain scarce.

“There are no plans for a tour next year," Republic Records noted in a tweet on December 15, 2024. “But Ariana remains deeply appreciative of her fans and all their continued love, support and excitement.”

The songstress hasn't been on a tour since her Sweetener tour wrapped up in 2019. Arianators were expecting her to hit the road in support of Eternal Sunshine, though it looks like they will have to wait for more details.

In the meantime, it was announced that Ariana Grande will be lending her vocal prowess to the animated musical, which is reportedly inspired by the Dr. Seuss classic. The movie is expected to drop on March 17, 2028, via Warner Bros.

Ariana Grande took to Instagram to celebrate the news with a photo of her and Gad in the studio, partially covering their faces with script books. She penned,

“I love this book, I love this script, I love the beautiful world of @drseuss, I love this incredible group of creative human beings.” She added, “I am so thrilled to be a part of this one,” before referring to Gad as “a brilliant joy.”
