Chappell Roan backs out of the festival: Read more
Notably, Chappell Roan was expected to perform this weekend, though she took to Instagram just this week to confirm that she has opted out of the same.
“I apologise to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform. Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it,” Roan posted.
She was expected to perform at the Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday and he Merriweather Post Pavilion on Sunday as part of the festival.
“I feel pressures to prioritise a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritise my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible,” she continued in her statement. “Thank you for understanding.”
Representatives for the festival reportedly said they were “heartbroken."
“All Things Go strongly supports artists prioritising their wellbeing and we ask our community to rally around Chappell Roan with love and understanding,” the statement said. “Let’s continue to show the world that music fans support not just the art, but the artists themselves.”
