News that Jack Antonoff co-produced Doja Cat's latest single, Jealous Type, has broken out, and fans are divided.

Pop Base broke the news on X, and it states that Antonoff, known for collaborating with Taylor Swift for several different tracks, took his talents to the Agora songstress this time. A singer, songwriter, and record producer in his own right, the latest track comes off Doja Cat's impending fifth studio album, Vie.

Nonetheless, fans are divided. While some are excited about the news, others are just hoping the lyrics are straight from the songstress herself. Here's how one user reacted, for instance:

"As long as he didn’t write it we good."

The comments didn't end there:

"Jack’s versatility NEEDS to be studied because how did this same man produce Manchild, Fortnight, Luther, and now this?" one user remarked.
"Where was this bop making energy for Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter?" another chimed in.
"Why is he the only person capable of producing good pop songs???" someone else gushed.
"Can we put him away for like a year or two," another naysayer suggested.

See how the rest of X is reacting:

"The way he ate with the production," one user opined.
"So he can make good music he just decides not to?" another snarkily asked.
"Wow, Jack Antonoff’s collab with Doja Cat on Jealous Type is sparking some buzz! Love the vibe in those pics definitely captures that jealous tension in the lyrics. Mixed reactions on X, but his versatility is impressive..." someone else weighed in.
"Doja Cat working with Antonoff is the perfect symbol of pop today: alchemy of chaos and predictability, dressed up as innovation," yet another remarked.

Users were visibly divided, though a large chunk of them are seemingly excited for what is to come.

As reported by The Line of Best Fit, Doja Cat recently spoke with Apple Music about working with Jack Antonoff:

"I'm working with Jack Antonoff and working with a person that's new in my life," she said. "And so it's the grappling with talking about something personal and creating something fresh, and then getting to know someone new, and then all of these things fell together really naturally, and he's just been such a wonderful person to work with. But yeah, I think it's just been nice to play. I really played through the whole thing."

The Grammy-winning rapper dropped the first taste of her album just today, August 22, alongside a music video for Jealous Type as well. As of this writing, the release date for Ve remains unclear, though she did confirm to V Magazine that it is a pop-centric project.

The track also marks her first single this year, though she has been busy as a collaborator. She worked with RAYE and LISA for Born Again, and also worked with Jack Harlow on his Just Us. As reported by Billboard, she also collaborated with Don Toliver for Lose My Mind, which made it to the F1 soundtrack.
