Glasses Malone is warning Joey Badass that he might be in treacherous waters with Kendrick Lamar after he accused the latter of being too cowardly to duel him.
For the unversed, Badass has been picking fights with much of the West Coast, and while many have pushed back, including Ray Vaughn, Daylyt, Az Chike, REASON, and Hitta J3, he has been relentlessly mocking Kendrick Lamar.
However, fellow Compton rapper Glasses Malone has issued a warning against doing this, noting that it's only time before K. Dot fights back. In his tweet on May 20, he said:
"Joey know sure as sh*t bars are coming his way. When is the question."
As reported by Hot New Hip Hop, Malone and Lamar are tight, as during the latter's Grammy speech this year, he gave him a shout-out. Currently, however, no one else has confirmed news that another diss track may be forthcoming, so fans will have to wait and watch.
All the times Joey Badass called out Kendrick Lamar in his tracks:
For the unversed, Joey Badass has been spewing a string of contentious freestyles where he mentioned Kendrick Lamar. He kicked things off by dropping The Ruler’s Back, where he sampled an old Jay-Z line to take shots at all the attention the West Coast was getting since Kendrick nabbed the victory over Drake.
In a response track to Ray Vaughn, titled, The Finals, he called on Kendrick Lamar for a challenge, and doubled down on the invitation in his next track, My Town, featuring Loaded Lux. He called out Lamar's "boogeyman" alter-ego and jested at the expense of his Pulitzer win:
“I’m the real boogeyman, y’all n-ggas should be afraid / Get the general, I’m killing his troops.”
He later added:
“Don’t make me Pulitzer, better be wise because / I’m dottin T’s and cross your eyes like Whitaker.”
The threats didn't end there. As per Billboard, he continued his string of threats when he reworked 2Pac's Hit Em Up:
“What’s the current situation? N—as just clickbaitin’,” he rapped. “How predictable, this the angle I was anticipating/ And thank you for making it clear to me that Dot scared, but yeah I was at the party, but I also saw Top there.”
In one track , Crash Dummy, Joey Badass mocked Lamar for allegedly being afraid to take him on, rapping:
“Thank you for making it clear that Dot scared, but yeah / I was at the party, but I also saw Top there.”
Jury's still out on just when Kendrick Lamar will be hitting back on Joey Badass' claims, so it looks like fans can only wait and watch.
