“Being a loving husband makes me happy”: A$AP Rocky reflects on peace, fatherhood, and family life with Rihanna

A$AP Rocky may have just dropped his biggest hint yet about his relationship status with Rihanna. In a new Perfect magazine cover story, the rapper called himself a "loving husband," igniting fresh speculation that he and the beauty mogul may have quietly tied the knot.

In the interview, published Oct. 29, the "Sundress" hitmaker was asked when he experiences the greatest satisfaction and happiness. He answered:

"I think peace really makes me happy. Being a father and a partner and a loving husband in my family is what makes me really, really happy."

A$AP Rocky continued, reflecting on how being a partner and fatherhood help in his artistry.

"I hope this doesn’t sound cliché, and I would hate if it does, because that’s what honestly does get me going: being able to express myself creatively, being able to be a family man and being able to be an artisan. It doesn’t matter what hat I wear that day, it’s just about being able to give it my all and do these things."

At one point in the interview, A$AP Rocky also talked about "Obligatory Fashion," his concept for his AWGE Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

"My trials and tribulations are literally what inspired the last collection. I remember being in the halls waiting for court, and I would see so many different people. What I was trying to get across with 'obligatory fashion' is that everybody I saw dressed in that courtroom, it was like they had to be dressed that way."

The rapper explained:

"A lawyer will wear lawyer attire. I saw a construction worker come through in uniform. He was late for his job but he had to pay a ticket off first. And then a woman coming in for child support stuff. I try to include all these different experiences, but still bring it into my world. I had female attorneys and secretaries and lawyers and just people. My version of the baby mama, or my version of the construction worker, going down the aisle all at once."

A$AP Rocky teases relationship status with Rihanna: "I’m still not gonna confirm it"

Meanwhile, this is not the first time A$AP Rocky has hinted at his relationship status with Rihanna.

In his cover story interview with Elle in September, the "Praise the Lord" rapper was asked if he sees himself as a husband, and he cheekily answered:

“How you know I’m not already a husband? I’m still not gonna confirm it.”

On Sept. 24, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their third child, Rocki Irish Mayers, a daughter, which was something that the rapper wished for. In his Elle interview, he expressed his hopes of having a girl.

“Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know. I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”
