Billboard recently named BTS as one of the prospective performers for the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show. The K-pop boy band was named amongst other potential performers, like Taylor Swift, Jay Z, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and more. The publication specified that no official details are available as of this writing.

“Though no specific details have been announced yet about the comeback, all seven hopped on a livestream in June to announce, “we’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year,” which seems like perfect timing to tee it up at February’s Super Bowl."

Fans of the boy band seemed divided over the idea of them performing at next year’s Super Bowl. Consequently, fans swamped social media with their mixed reactions to Billboard speculations.

Some fans believed that the Super Bowl audience may not appreciate the K-pop group's performance, while others said that the septet doesn’t need any exposure as they are bigger than Super Bowl.

“It will be an epochal show without any precedent, these guys have the power to create unique, inimitable scenarios,” stated an admirer.
“We know that BTS would do a fantastic job but that audience isn't for them and would not appreciate their performance.,” a fan commented.
