Billy Joel has been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), which has forced him to cancel all upcoming concerts. NPH is a rare brain condition that affects balance, vision, and hearing. The news was shared on his social media account, and fans have been quick to offer their support and wishes. While maintaining optimism about the artist's recovery, Billy Joel’s management team kept fans updated about the artist's well-being and released the following statement:

"This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision, and balance. Under his doctor’s instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period. Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritizing his health. He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take the stage."

Billy Joel has amassed numerous plaudits over his five-decade-plus career, but his health issues have raised concerns among fans lately about his ability to maintain his rigorous performance schedule. He reportedly had to postpone a number of concerts last year as well, after several health issues came to the fore. After his latest health issues came to light, Billy Joel himself came forward to address the fans in a statement in which he said:

"I’m sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding"
