Details about BLACKPINK's DEADLINE tour explored as band teases fans with a new song:
Ahead of their opening performance, Jisoo took to her Instagram account to share a glimpse into rehearsals. She, as well as Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé, could be seen conducting sound checks, practicing their dance routine, and posing alongside their concert crew.
“DEADLINE Let's Goooooooo,” she captioned the string of photos.
BLACKPINK's agency, YG Entertainment, released the official trailer of the world tour just last week, and it showcases the women hitting the road for a trip. It kicks off with Rosé calling her bandmates through a phone booth, which then cuts to Lisa, Jisoo, and Jennie joining her in a car. They then head to meet their fans, marking the start of their tour.
The agency further teased fans with a new song at the Goyang concert in a statement:
“There were many discussions about how to release this new song. We decided to debut it first at the Goyang concert, which holds significance as the starting point of the Deadline tour, where we will reunite with our fans,” they said.
This new song would be BLACKPINK's first release in almost 3 years, with their last drop being 2022's Born Pink studio album. YG’s Executive Producer, Yang Hyun Suk, reportedly said of the forthcoming track:
“There was a lot of discussion about how to release the new song, and we ultimately decided to unveil it first at the Goyang concert, which marks the beginning of the world tour and a symbolic moment to reconnect with the fandom."
BLACKPINK's DEADLINE world tour will take them across 16 cities for 31 shows, including hotspots LA, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, and more. Their previous tour, the Pink World Tour, shattered records as it went on from 2022 to 2023. During this time, over 1.8 million tickets were sold across 66 shows.
