Blank Space by Taylor Swift has broken the 2.1 billion Spotify streams.

A few months back, Taylor Swift's Blank Space rereleased version hit 2 billion streams, and now it marks the second song in her entire discography to reach 2.1 billion streams on Spotify. At the time of writing, Cruel Summer, which is on top of the list, has 2,917,957,280 streams, followed by the 2014-released bop, which currently has 2,100,717,430 streams.

The song, which is part of her 2014 chart-topping album 1989, named after her birth year, is the epitome of the female experience, expressing extreme emotions like jealousy, female rage, and insecurity.

Fans react to Taylor Swift's new feat

Swifties all over were overjoyed with "Blank Space" finally getting its due credit after all these years.

One fan account expressed,

"For the first time since I've started this account, I can report on these tracks achievements in full celebration mode, using the best quality "stolen" era pictures for the songs they truly belong to. I cannot tell you how happy this makes me."

While another stated,

"Fun to celebrate these milestones now!"

One fan joked,

"We can thank Travis Kelce for this"

While another reasoned,

"6.3B if it was never removed"

This news comes after Swift finally owns her masters after paying over $300 million to buy the catalog back from Shamrock Capital, making fans who had been waiting for "Reputation Taylor's Version" feel bittersweet. The announcement came through an open letter she made to fans on Friday, May 30.

In the letter, Taylor Swift mentions,

"I’m trying to gather my thoughts into something coherent, but right now my mind is just a slideshow. A flashback sequence of all the times I daydreamed about, wished for, and prayed away for a chance to get to tell you this news. All the times I was thisssss close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through. I almost stopped thinking it could ever happen, after 20 years of having the carrot dangled and then yanked away. But that’s all in the past now. I’ve been bursting into tears of joy at random intervals ever since I found out that this is really happening. I really get to say these words: All of the music I’ve ever made… now belongs to me.”

The emotional note further continues,

“To say this is my greatest dream come true is actually being pretty casual about it. To my fans, you know how important this has been to me—so much so that I meticulously re-recorded and released four albums, calling them Taylor’s Versions. The passionate support you showed those albums and the success you found giving The Eras Tour into why I was able to buy back my music. I can’t thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I have dedicated my life to, but never owned until now. All I’ve ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to be able to one day purchase my music outright.”

The masters included all of Taylor Swift's first six albums.
