BTS' Jimin once again created buzz with his independent album MUSE. The K-pop idol’s second solo studio album extended its record as the longest charting album by a K-pop solo artist in Billboard World Albums Chart’s history. MUSE made this mark with 67 weeks of charting on Billboard Albums Chart.

Park Jimin came out with his album MUSE in July last year after his first solo album, FACE. The singer’s inaugural album dropped in March 2023. MUSE was released at the time, when the idol was fulfilling his mandatory military duties in South Korea. Therefore, Jimin’s album achieved massive numbers without any promotions. He collaborated with artists like Sofia Carson and Loco for different tracks for the album MUSE.

BTS' Jimin’s second solo album launched in July last year

The boy band’s management company BIGHIT Music launched BTS' Jimin’s album on July 19 last year. As stated by their website, Jimin drew inspiration from surroundings for his second album.

“Jimin of 21st century pop icons BTS is set to release his second solo album MUSE on July 19, 2024. While FACE delved into confronting one's inner self, through MUSE, Jimin candidly shares the stories he wished to convey while portraying his journey of finding inspiration from his surroundings. Jimin, who led the overall production of MUSE, tells the story of making various attempts at finding real, genuine love and losing his way at times over the album's seven tracks.”

Here’s the songlist for BTS' Jimin’s MUSE:

  • Rebirth (Intro)
  • Interlude : Showtime
  • Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)
  • Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson)
  • Be Mine
  • WHO
  • Closer Than This

The description offered by BIGHIT further stated:

“The theme of love begins with the first track 'Rebirth (Intro)' and gradually unfolds throughout the album, reaching its climax at the main track “Who.”

In related news, the Like Crazy vocalist’s MUSE recently exceeded 3.5 billion streams on Spotify. The artist’s second solo record reached the mark in just 465 days since its official release. This achievement is the fastest time for a Korean-language album and is unique for a Korean solo album. This reflects Jimin’s large global fanbase and musical talent.
