BTS' Jungkook came into the spotlight recently after the idol surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify in 2025. The Standing Next To You vocalist accomplished the latest mark without any new release due to his long break during his military service.

Given his latest achievement, Jeon Jungkook reportedly emerged as the first K-pop solo artist in history to reach the 1 billion streams mark in three different calendar years.

The BTS idol dropped his solo album last music in November 2023 with the release of his inaugural solo album GOLDEN. BTS' Jungkook debuted his solo album shortly before starting his military term in December 2023. He was freed from military recently on June 11, 2025, together with his fellow singer Jimin.

Several fans showed their love and support for BTS' Jungkook for his newest achievement on Spotify. While some dubbed him as most successful and popular member of BTS, others refered to Jk is a history maker.

BTS' Jungkook gave his first post military performance during J-hope’s ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ concert in Seoul

On June 13, 2025, BTS' Jungkook arrived on stage for his first performance after his military discharge on June 11. The Hate You idol was discharged recently along with his bandmate Jimin. Golden maknae served his 18-month military term in South Korea, which started in December 2023.

Jungkook joined his fellow singer J-hope on stage during his ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ concert in Seoul. The idol made a surprise appearance during Hobi’s show and performed three tracks. Jk performed I Wonder with J-hope, Jamais vu with Jin and J-hope, and also his solo track SEVEN.

In addition to Jungkook, other BTS members were also spotted at J-hope’s Seoul concert. Following this, BTS took over internet as it became trending on social media worldwide.


In related news, Kim Taehyung and Kim Namjoon were also discharged from military recently on June 10, 2024.
