BTS' Jungkook created buzz among fans with his one and only solo record GOLDEN. The BTS idol's album made history by becoming the first album by a K-pop solo artist to spend 91 consecutive weeks in the Spotify Global Weekly Top Albums Chart.

The album was originally dropped in November 2023, a few days before BTS’ Jungkook left for his military service. The LP comprised eleven tracks.

On November 3, 2023, the BTS maknae released GOLDEN, his debut solo album. BIGHIT characterizes the substance and concept of BTS' Jungkook's album as follows:

“GOLDEN reflects on the golden moments of Jung Kook as a solo artist. The new album features a total of 11 tracks including previously released global smash hits "Seven (feat. Latto)", in both clean and explicit versions, and "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)", as well as the main track "Standing Next to You" and seven brand new tracks.”

BIGHIT Music further underlines the theme of the album’s popular track Standing Next to You in the following words:

"'Standing Next to You' is a disco funk track with a modern interpretation of the old school sound. The track conveys the message that 'because our love is deeper than anything, we will always be together no matter what adversity may come our way."

Here’s the complete tracklist of Jk’s GOLDEN:

  • Closer to You (feat. Major Lazer)
  • Seven (feat. Latto) Explicit Version
  • Yes or No
  • Please Don't Change (feat. DJ Snake)
  • Hate You
  • Somebody
  • Standing Next To You
  • Too Sad to Dance
  • Shot Glass of Tears
  • Seven (ft. Latto) Clean Version
  • 3D (ft. Jack Harlow)

The popular tracks SEVEN and 3D were dropped as the pre-release songs for the main album. While the former released in July, the latter came out in September 2023.

BTS's Jungkook's sole solo album, GOLDEN, has recently achieved the distinction of being #4 among the most-streamed K-pop albums in history. The maknae's album achieved the rank with over 5.9 billion streams on Spotify.

Jungkook follows the musical trajectory established by his group's three albums, specifically PROOF, Love Yourself: Answer, and Map of the Soul: 7, which occupy the #1, #2, and #3 positions, respectively.

GOLDEN has lately been the sole album by an Asian artist to feature numerous tracks on the Spotify Global Daily Songs Charts.

In related news, BTS' Jungkook recently left South Korea together with bandmate Kim Taehyung, reportedly to attend a fashion event overseas.
