Flow Festival Helsinki has recently announced the lineup for the August music festival, with Burna Boy one of the headlining acts of the event. He joins Black Star, Goldielocks, and Oranssi Pazuzu among those stars who will be present at the event that will take place from August 8–10 at the Suvilahti power plant area in Helsinki, Finland.
Flow Festival Helsinki has time and again proved to be a highlight of Finland’s summer cultural calendar, and Burna Boy's inclusion undoubtedly will add to the colourful musical landscape of the event. As one of Africa's most prominent musical ambassadors, the Nigerian singer-songwriter is recognized as one of the continent's biggest musical stars, having delivered major hits like On The Low, Own It, and Last Last throughout his career.
Flow Festival Helsinki made the announcement on its social media channels with a list of Burna Boy's accomplishments. News of the performer's announcement led to widespread excitement on social media, as users flocked to X to express their delight:
"Global stage, global icon. Burna Boy headlining Flow Festival is exactly the kind of energy 2025 needs. Helsinki, you’re in for a masterclass in Afro-fusion", quipped one fan.
"Thanks God someone is finally going to make the summer littttt" commented another.
"No one comes close to king Burna", claimed another fan.
"Yessss! Burna at Flow Festival Helsinki? That's gonna be lit! Can't wait for August", exclaimed yet another fan.
Fans were in high spirits as many claimed they were already booking their tickets to the musical extravaganza. More reactions followed soon thereafter:

"Burna Boy is one of those artists that will take a lot to disappoint me. He’s just too good & can never do no wrong in my eyes. Him and J.cole will always just remain my top", remarked another.
"Burna Boy? More like Burna Me Out with his overrated music", mocked another fan.
"Burna Boy is celebrated far away in Finland. look at the description. the festival will provide stadium stage length for his set!", opined another.
Flow Festival Helsinki- A brief history
Excerpts from the official site:
"In 2004, Flow Festival’s story began in the old railway warehouses of Helsinki city centre. Organised by the music collective Nuspirit Helsinki, the festival’s focus was introducing music that the organisers personally found exciting and bringing the hottest international talents to Helsinki. This meant that while the festival was undeniably in with its times, it wasn’t one to only chase after the latest acts. The festival was named Flow. Since 2007, Flow has been organised in Suvilahti. The former power plant lot in Helsinki has created a globally unique atmosphere with its post-industrial ambience and strategic location."
"Today, Flow is an internationally acclaimed, sustainable festival and event brand, with the same fire at its core that was there when it all began: good music, responsible and strong values, self-imposed art, upscale food, spectacular lighting and an ambitious and sustainable festival production."
The event will also mark Burna Boy's return to the flagship music festival after his electric performance in 2022. As per Dork, he will join previously announced performers including Charli xcx, Kneecap, Fontaines D.C., Khruangbin, Little Simz, Yung Lean & Bladee, Underworld, Air, FKA twigs, Bicep Present Chroma, Lola Young, Beth Gibbons, Amaarae, Joy Orbison, Avalon Emerson, Veronica Maggio, Montell Fish, Sexmane, DJ EZ, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, Jeff Mills presents Tomorrow Comes The Harvest, and TSHA.
