Here's everything Louis Tomlinson has been up to in his music career:

In a statement, Louis Tomlinson said, per the Rolling Stone magazine,

“I sum up it as ‘The record I always deserved to make.' My bread and butter is my honesty. I genuinely wear my heart on my sleeve, and I hope it comes through in the music.” He added, “I’m still learning and getting better as a singer and a songwriter. I find it impossible to be complacent; it’s not in my vocabulary. For the first time now, I’m allowing myself to be the artist I’d always hoped to be.”

Per the outlet, the singer worked on the project while on a trip to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. He was there for three weeks with his main collaborator, Nico Rebscher.

“Taking all of the steps I did to get here was important. I needed to the confidence to become the artist I wanted to be and make a hopefully big, but personal album. I think I did,” he continued.

As for his new single, Louis Tomlinson dedicated it to a lady who’s “so bitter” and “so sweet” at the same time.

“The most important thing was for the first single to sound ambitious sonically. It had to be big and fun,” Tomlinson added. “To me, ‘Lemonade’ really has instant and natural personality. It ended up being the perfect way to begin this chapter.”

Billboard has reported that the track debuted as the ‘Hottest Record’ on BBC Radio 1 before it made its way to streaming services. Tomlinson last released an album in 2022, Faith in the Future, before which he dropped 2020’s Walls. According to the outlet, both albums clocked in on the Billboard 200 chart. He has joined forces once again with producer Nico Rebscher for his forthcoming project.

Louis Tomlinson will also be hosting Away From Home, the annual festival he curated, for the first time in the US this weekend. It will be held in Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, N.Y., on October 4 and 5 and will feature Tomlinson and Lauv as its headlining acts. Plain White T’s, Daya, Pale Waves, and Steve Aoki will also make appearances, among others.

“I’m so excited to be bringing Away From Home to the U.S., and for the first time, a two-day festival!” Tomlinson said. “Really honored and grateful to have such a strong lineup over both days, got a few things up my sleeve too. Can’t wait to see you all there, it’s going to be special!”
