Camila Cabello's former band, Fifth Harmony, reunited at the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown tour in Dallas on August 31, 2025. The group was together on stage for the first time after seven years, and former band member Cabello showed her support for the group by commenting four red hearts for them on their post.
Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, and Normani made an unexpected appearance on August 31, 2025, when the Jonas Brothers stopped by the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas as part of their JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown tour.
The band was quick to electrify the crowd with a performance of their 2015 hit song, Worth It, which then soon transitioned into a synchronized routine of “Work From Home,” showing fans at the stadium and at home that they still have it.
Normani teased as the crowd cheered for them, she shouted:
“Y’all remember Fifth Harmony?”
The music band's official X account tweeted for the first time since 2018, with the hashtag #FifthHarmonyFollowSpree, which made their fanbase, Harmonizers, speculate that something big was coming.
Camila Cabello's heartfelt reaction to Fifth Harmony's reunion
Camila Cabello expressed her heartfelt emotions on social media despite her absence. She is currently in Australia touring. Yesterday, Fifth Harmony posted a video on Instagram of their performance on which Cabello left four red hearts on her former band's post. One heart for each member. It didn't take much time for fans and people to notice it, indicating that there is no more animosity between her and the rest of the group.
The band, which was formed on season two of The X Factor USA in 2012, became well-known very fast with their singles, like Work From Home, which was number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016, and Worth It, which peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2015. Their first album, Reflection (2015), and 7/27 (2016) quickly put them on the map and gained them a huge following.
Cabello decided to leave the band in December 2016, as she claimed it had been challenging to remain in line with the group's mission due to her love for songwriting and her wish for solo work.
A statement was released by the band announcing Camila Cabello's departure:
“After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well."
Cabello later released her own statement explaining:
"As sad as it is to see this chapter ending this way, I will continue to root them all on as individuals and as a group. I wish nothing but the best for them, all the success in the world, and true happiness."
Camila's departure was marked by awkward interviews, public statements, and rumors of conflicts between the group members.
Until March 2018, the band continued to perform as a four-member group till they declared an indefinite hiatus. Ally Brooke tried acting and music, Lauren Jauregi was a singer-songwriter, Dinah Jane returned to the studio, and Normani became a rising R&B artist.
Meanwhile, Cabello's solo career took off, making bangers like Havana from her solo debut album Camila (2018), featuring rapper Young Thug in 2017, which went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 that year, and Señorita, which featured her ex-partner Shawn Mendes in 2019. The song also went on to top the Billboard Hot 100.
In March of this year, Camila Cabello appeared on an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast and said:
"I had such a passion that turned into writing. And at first I was like, 'Oh maybe I wanna write for other people.' But then it turned into like, 'No, actually I want to sing these songs by myself.'"
She added:
"I started distancing myself from the group vision, and it felt like they were still really passionate and into that and so, I was just like, ‘I'm not happy here anymore, it doesn't feel aligned.'"
Signs of reconciliation and a reunion, maybe?
The comment by Camila Cabello on their reunion in Dallas was not the first indication of things getting better between them. Harmonizers started speculating when Fifth Harmony's official account re-followed Cabello on social media in recent weeks.
Neither Cabello nor the band has released any comments on this, but there is a lot of talk and rumors going around. According to E! News, the band is open to having a reunion tour and a documentary. Jane hinted that they were open to the idea. Both of which could involve Cabello.
Though it remains to be seen if the band is going ahead with that idea or if Camila Cabello is involved in any of those plans, their reunion at the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown tour in Dallas is a start.
