Cardi B's performance at LadyLand Festival caught widespread attention. LadyLand Festival 2025 kicked off on June 27 at Under the K Bridge Park in Greenpoint, New York City. The Grammy winner Cardi B led the opening night, performing late into the night even though rain kept falling. The crowd stayed lively and engaged.

Drag artist Scarlet Envy, from RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season six, introduced Cardi B’s performance. Envy included a playful nod by referencing her viral quote, “I’m the drama.” This tied to Cardi B’s upcoming second album, Am I the Drama?, which connected well with the LGBTQ attendees.

Dressed in a black-and-white striped outfit, Cardi kicked off her performance with jokes and plenty of interaction. She made fun of her age and mentioned her kids, keeping the crowd engaged. Two huge inflatable fists that matched her iconic style loomed behind her as she worked through a list of songs her fans love.

She performed hits like “Bodak Yellow,” “I Like It,” “Up,” and the popular “WAP.” Cardi also added tracks like “She Bad,” “Money,” and her newest song “Outside,” which stands out for its sharp lyrics. She kept her energy steady the entire time, never letting the weather slow her down or break her rhythm.

The complete setlist include:

  1. Bongos
  2. Money
  3. She Bad
  4. Bartier Cardi
  5. Tomorrow 2 (GloRilla cover)
  6. Up
  7. Outside
  8. WAP
  9. Bodak Yellow
  10. I Like It

The artist took a moment during her show to talk about an upcoming tour.

“Imma spill some tea, get ready for the tour,” she said.

She hinted that there might be more news coming soon. This happened right after she performed four of her five songs that had reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Cardi B’s LadyLand set marks full-circle moment for festival and artist

Ladyfag, the creator behind the LadyLand Festival spoke earlier in the night about her history with Cardi B. She remembered Cardi showing up at her monthly party, Holy Mountain back in early 2017. At that point, Cardi was just starting to make her mark in the industry. Ladyfag said Cardi’s energy and involvement at that event made a strong impression and began an ongoing connection.

LadyLand, in its third year at the Greenpoint location, is a part of New York City’s large-scale Pride Weekend. The festival presents a mix of performers from many genres and is a stage for inclusivity and nightlife culture.

Saturday, June 28th is the second day of the event, which will have FKA Twigs as its headliner. Also on the lineup are Pabllo Vittar, Boris, Eartheater, VTSS, Isabella Lovestory and Kevin Aviance. As a whole, they present over two nights of music, performance art, and queer culture in New York City.

Cardi B’s appearance connected her journey with the festival's growth. It reflected LadyLand’s role in bringing together underground culture and mainstream artists.
