Irish singer-songwriter CMAT has officially announced her return to Australia in January 2026 as part of her Euro-Country world tour. The Australian leg follows some sold-out shows across Europe and North America. This run has been designed to support her third studio album, Euro-Country.
The newly announced AU leg of her tour is being presented by Secret Sounds. CMAT will perform in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne across late January. These will be her largest Australian headline shows to date. She debuted in the country earlier in 2025 to support The Teskey Brothers and headline select dates in Sydney and Melbourne.
CMAT took to her official Instagram page to announce the upcoming 2025 AU trek, captioning:
"Australia!!! The EURO-COUNTRY tour is coming your way in January! Tickets on general sale this Monday Sep 15 at 8 am local time. head to the discord to join the artist presale!!"
In a recent statement about her latest album, CMAT shared:
"The album title works on three levels: the kind of country music I make; the fact that Ireland is a European country, a country run by the euro, and capitalism is one of the worst things to ever happen to us."
CMAT also added:
"And on a wider level, EURO-COUNTRY is the name I’ve given to the pain of the loss of community that has happened over the last twenty to thirty years. Nobody is hanging out anymore, nobody is talking to each other, nobody is living together anymore."
She further stated,
"The shape of life, not just family life, but adult life, has completely transformed from the way it was before the internet and gig economy and I feel like it’s so responsible for so much of the societal and mental health issues that are really drilling everyone under the age of 35 right now."
