Fans at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas got an unexpected treat on Friday night, May 31, when Doja Cat appeared onstage during SZA and Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour stop.

Emerging from beneath the stage, Doja joined SZA for a live rendition of their Grammy-winning hit “Kiss Me More.” The surprise marked the duo’s first time performing the track together since their 2021 Billboard Music Awards debut.

After the set, SZA shared the moment on Instagram Stories with a video clip and the caption:

“First time performing together in sooo long. THANK YOU @dojacat!”

The upbeat single originally featured on Doja Cat’s Planet Her and earned them the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2022. During the acceptance speech, Doja called SZA “the epitome of talent.”

Doja’s outfit also caught the internet’s attention with her mossy green, textured dress that fans say resembles SZA’s SOS Deluxe: Lana cover.

Released last December, Lana expanded on SZA’s SOS era. Music publication NME described it as a collection that “heralds SZA’s status as a pop girl,” though it noted that it “might have been stronger as a mixtape.”

The tour continues with UK and European dates next month, including two nights at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Meanwhile, SZA also appears on Kendrick Lamar’s newest album, GNX, and joined him earlier this year for the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Justin Bieber makes a surprise onstage cameo at SZA’s LA show

Doja Cat's special appearance on SZA’s Grand National Tour stop comes after Justin Bieber walked onstage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on May 23.

The moment, which transpired on May 23, marked a rare stage appearance for Bieber, who has kept a relatively low profile while working on new music. He joined SZA midway through her set for a smooth, playful performance of “Snooze,” the sultry track from her 2022 album SOS.

Bieber was previously featured in the acoustic remix of the song.

Dressed in all-black with a Balenciaga jacket, Bieber shared verses and a few sweet gestures, kissing SZA’s hand and dancing with her during the intimate number.

His wife, Hailey Bieber, reacted to the surprise on social media, posting a clip to her Instagram Story with the caption:

“My 2 favorite artists.”

The show was part of SZA’s ongoing co-headlining tour with Kendrick Lamar, which kicked off in April.
