Justin Bieber gave a special shoutout to his wife, Hailey Bieber, in his surprise album SWAG II.
The singer debuted the sequel to SWAG, which dropped less than two months ago, at midnight on September 5. It features 23 new tracks, though it has been combined with the first album to make an expansive 44-track list. Guest appearances include the likes of Tems, Hurricane Chris, and Gunna, among others.
However, three songs in particular have fans swooning, and they’re all ostensibly dedicated to his wife and the mother of his son, Jack Blues: I THINK YOU’RE SPECIAL (feat. Tems), MOTHER IN YOU, and I DO.
Justin Bieber's odes to his wife Hailey Bieber and their son Jack Blues explored
In the chorus of I THINK YOU’RE SPECIAL, Justin Bieber and Tems harmonize:
"Ain't no other love like this / It's the reason you exist / We don't gotta try no, baby / I think you're special / When you wanna find peace (Yeah, you) / You should look inside yourself / Everybody wants somethin' else / I think you're special," per Genius.
In MOTHER IN YOU, he seemingly alludes to Hailey embracing motherhood after giving birth to their son in August 2024. The track also appears to be an ode to Jack Blues, as some of the lyrics go:
"I ain't leavin' / It's a half past seven, I had somewhere to be / I guess I'm late, but I got a reason / You're a beautiful world that's countin' on me / My smile, her grace, both of our hearts / Oh, child, everyday you're the best part."
As for I DO, Justin Bieber serenades his wife with hymns of love and desire. “Never loved you more than I do right now,” he professes.
"I need you in the morning / You know that's right (You know that's right) / I need you in the afternoon, and in the night / You know I do (Yeah, you know) / Yeah, you know, yeah, you know, yeah, you know, yeah, you know I'm lovin' / I can do without / I can't know the way that I feel, oh / Hunnid them dress, oh, none of them heels, oh / My love, oh / Never loved you more than I do right now," he sings to his beau in Verse 1.
SWAG II made its debut on YouTube Music, though there was a lag before it hit other streaming platforms like Spotify. Justin Bieber himself addressed this on Instagram:
“I’m sorry for the wait their telling me any second." He added, “Me waiting with u, not baiting u not sure wut the f*ckkyyy is going on clicking refreshhhhhh.”
As of this writing, all songs are now available to stream.
