Days after Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding, reports went viral claiming that Lady Gaga charged $6 million to perform at the ceremony. However, this is a false profess.

According to an exclusive report by TMZ from June 30, 2025, insiders noted that she was not even approached to perform at the wedding. Hence, the question of charging the exorbitant fee remains out of the question.

The report also noted that Ellie Goulding and Matteo Bocelli performed at the wedding. Besides Lady Gaga, Elton John’s name also got caught up in these rumors.

In March 2025, the songstress released "Perfect Celebrity." While speaking on The Howard Stern Show, she reflected on the song, saying:

“I think in a way, when I was writing, I was feeling like there was the real me and there was the clone me. It’s kind of one of the more angry songs I’ve ever written.”

Lady Gaga went on:

“The song is a little bit of a retaliation against myself, and I’m just sort of trying to figure out as I go through it, how I feel about it all, and it’s kind of a reckless tune, I think, in a way.”

She also said that being famous all the time used to make her feel excited. However, it reached a point where she cared more about what others thought than how she felt from within. Lady Gaga realized she had to change how she saw herself. Being in the spotlight for so long had made her feel confused about who she was.

Lady Gaga on upholding kindness over wealth

In 2016, the singer performed at a shopping mall in London. According to The Guardian, while addressing the crowd, she said that when she visited rich homes, she often met unhappy people. With her album, Joanne, she wanted to remind her fans that love and kindness mattered the most.

She believed that being kind was the way to bring people together, not being famous or popular. Lady Gaga also said:

“Money has been put on a pedestal, beauty has been put on a pedestal, celebrity has been put on a pedestal. I have travelled the world and seen the happiest people in the poorest parts of the world. Their values are intact.”

According to People Magazine, she also shared that real success, for her, was seeing her family proud and happy, like when she visited her dad’s restaurant and saw him smile. That made her feel like she hadn’t forgotten who she was.

Lady Gaga said that being famous meant people could follow her or take photos of her without her being able to stop them. So, she decided that even if she couldn’t feel free outside in the world, she would always feel free in her heart.

She also spoke in support of Kanye West previously, saying it wasn’t okay to make jokes about someone’s mental health because many people were going through tough times.

She asked everyone to be kind and caring. Even though she didn’t agree with everything Kanye West did, she hoped people would still treat him and each other with love and compassion.
