Lil Nas X is out of jail after a whirlwind few days that saw him in jail, in court, and in headlines.

The 26-year-old artist was arrested on Aug. 21 in Los Angeles following reports of a possible overdose and an altercation with police. Officers had responded to multiple calls about a man “nude in the street” on Ventura Boulevard around 6 a.m., according to the LAPD.

By the time the case reached court on Aug. 25, the charges had escalated to serious felonies.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Lil Nas X pleaded not guilty to four felony counts: three of battery causing injury to a police officer and one of resisting an executive officer.

If convicted, the "INDUSTRY BABY" rapper could face up to five years in state prison.

“An absolute aberration”: Lil Nas X’s lawyers call for caution amid drug speculation

The pop star remained behind bars until later that day, when he posted $75,000 bail and was released. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15.

The court also ordered him to attend four Narcotics Anonymous meetings each week. Police say they believe he may have been under the influence of drugs during the arrest, but no toxicology results have been released.

His legal team, however, urged caution. Defense attorney Christy O’Connor told the Associated Press it was too early to tell while waiting on test results. She added that the situation was:

“an absolute aberration in his life. Nothing like this has ever happened to him.”

Another attorney, Drew Findling, echoed that sentiment before bail was posted. He told The Hollywood Reporter:

"He’s never been in trouble for a split second in his existence, we’re not going to let one little event change the trajectory of his amazing life.”

Findling continued:

“There’s no way to have a sense of what happened this immediately, but we’re going to look into it and do the right thing. Anybody that has kids, you hear about things like this all the time. Don’t forget, he’s 26 years old. It’s not unusual for something like this to happen, particularly when you have the pressure of being recognized internationally like him.”
