Nick Jonas reunited with Kelsea Ballerini for a surprise performance as part of the Jonas Brothers' ongoing world tour this weekend, and fans are here for it.

As seen in several viral videos, the country star took to the stage at the Jonas Brothers' concert in Dallas on August 31, marking their first reunion since the 2016 ACM Awards.

In a now-infamous mishap at the time, Nick Jonas joined Kelsea Ballerini on stage to sing a duet with her and strum the guitar to her hit song, "Peter Pan." However, he forgot the words at the time, an incident that later took a toll on him.

Back in March 2023, he sat down for an appearance on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast, where he reflected on the "worst moment" and how it prompted him to seek therapy.

"Then there was another time during a really tragic guitar solo debacle that happened on live TV," he said at the time. "In retrospect, I can kind of laugh about how big I thought it was. But it did travel more than I wish it would have, and it did cause me to go to therapy."

He continued,

"Kelsea and I had a couple performances together, and this was one of them. I come out for my thing. I rehearsed it a million times. I'm feeling really confident about it — not even really thinking about it like it's a thing that's going to be problematic." Nick Jonas continued, "I started off, it was fine and as I walked towards her, I just went completely blank and I hit a wrong note and blacked out basically and clocked that it was wrong and I couldn't stop."

He went on:

"Til this day and hours after unpacking it, I can't really figure out exactly what happened, but I was rushed to a car and rushed to a plane right after it. I looked at my manager and said, 'I think that was bad.' I was, like, in shock kinda. It was a really traumatic moment that shaped the pressure I put on myself to be perfect and to always be on."

In other news, Nick Jonas and the rest of the Jonas Brothers also played host to another highly anticipated reunion this weekend: Fifth Harmony's. The iconic girl group took to the stage at the Dallas concert to deliver their first performance since their hiatus seven years ago.

Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui all stepped in, save for Camilla Cabello, as they sang their hit song Worth It. They also delivered a live rendition of Work From Home, complete with a jam-packed dance routine.

Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas then joined the girls on stage to hug them and bid them goodbye. Rolling Stone has reported that Camilla Cabello was absent from the surprise performance as she was in Sydney, Australia, for a solo performance at the time.

The girl band also teased fans on their X account with a possible reunion on Sunday morning, when a post with the hashtag “#FifthHarmonyFollowSpree" was shared. The band has since debuted new merchandise and updated their social media bio to read: “Where were you on August 31, 2025?”
