In some confounding news, hip-hop phenom Doechii has cancelled 3 of her scheduled August tour dates in Europe almost last minute. What’s surprising is that in all three cases, the news was shared by the festivals via their official social media accounts while the rapper has remained silent.
Doechii was originally slated to hit the stage at the Rock en Seine in France on Aug. 21, followed by All Points East in London on Aug. 23, and finally at Forwards Festival in Bristol on Aug. 24. As of this moment, the festivals have not provided any conclusive reasoning as to why Doechii could not appear as scheduled. While several outlets have reached out to the artist's representation, there have been no official comments made on her absence as yet.

Doechii opens up
Prior to her absence from her shows in Europe, Doechii sat down for a conversation with People in which she shared about her current mindset and approach to her craft. When asked about the transition from more intimate venues to stadiums, the Swamp Princess shared:
“Honestly, my fan base is such a special fan base that it still feels intimate even when the crowd or stage is bigger. I think the biggest difference that I've noticed is just the bandwidth of production — how many people I'm working with now and how much more expensive my ideas are becoming.”
She also gave a thoughtful response when asked about her most cherished milestone to date, thanks to the success of her Alligator Bites Never Heal mixtape,
“I think that Billboard Women in Music night was really impactful and important to me, mainly because I got to highlight so many of the women that helped me make Alligator Bites Never Heal what it became. I realized how many women are actually employed on my team and how much I appreciate them. That was a big night for us to celebrate what the hell we just did. It was crazy, even crazier than the Grammy to me.”
While her ascent has been meteoric, it seems that Doechii is making sure to stay grounded through it all. Once she wrapped her Lollapalooza set, she also announced her upcoming Live from the Swamp Tour, which will officially kick off on October 14.
