Drake is opening up about his gambling misgivings.

The Canadian rapper took to social media on Wednesday, June 18, to reveal the round figure of how much he's lost in betting incorrectly: about $8 million out of the $125 million he shelled out.

“Gotta share the other side of gambling…,” the 38-year-old penned on his Instagram Stories, alongside a screenshot of some massive losses he seemingly incurred. “Losses are so fried right now I hope I can post a big win for you all soon cause I’m the only one that has never seen a max these guys max once a week.”

The Hotline Bling hitmaker didn't name all the sports he's wagered on, though fans were quick to speculate that it may have involved the NBA Finals, NHL playoffs, and even a reported $750,000 cricket bet placed on Royal Challengers Bengaluru to beat out the Punjab Kings.

Drake's gambling proclivities explored

As pointed out by E! News, this isn't the rapper's first run with gambling. Just earlier this year, he offered fans a glimpse into one of his wins where he scored $630,000 on a $210,000 bet over a Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers January 11 game.

He was in favor of the former as he shared a screenshot of his estimated earnings from the popular sports betting app, Stake, and captioned his post:

"Wild card."

Around the same time, he placed a $1.25 million bet on the Toronto Maple Leafs in their Game 7 against the Florida Panthers, which saw him earn a massive loss as the team never made it to the Eastern Conference Finals.

“I am a flawed sports bettor," he said in his interview as he promoted Stake. “I will not deny that. That’s not my gift. I’ll let everybody roll with it. I’m sure if you’re a Drake curse believer, there will be plenty more content in the future to confirm your theories because my slips do not cash out. But one day I’m gonna have a parlay that’s insane.”

In another post shared on Wednesday, he revealed that he also placed an $800,000 bet on Game 6 of this year's NBA Finals, which saw the Oklahoma City Thunder dominate the series. At the time, he'd wagered $600,000 on the team winning and an additional $200K if they won by 6-10 points. Should both bets work out in his favor, his estimated earnings would be about $1.7 million.

In other news, Canadian politician Jagmeet Singh has issued an apology to the rapper for attending his infamous rival, Kendrick Lamar's concert over the weekend.

The remarks were a response to a screenshot the rapper shared on his Instagram Stories of text exchanges between the politician and himself, where the former could be seen thanking the artist for following him back in 2019. The latter referred to Singh as a "goof," which prompted a defense:

“I went for SZA not Kendrick, I was born in this city, I love this city. But real talk, I get it. I shouldn’t have gone at all. For me it’ll always be Drake over Kendrick,” Singh said on his Instagram Stories.

While Lamar and SZA may be out touring, Drake is currently working on a new album, Billboard has reported. Per the outlet, it will be titled Iceman, and it is expected to drop before this year ends.

As of this writing, Drake has remained mum about the same, though fellow artist Smiley recently shared that the rapper is doing some serious work on a new project.
