After months of buzz surrounding his striking blonde transformation, EXO’s D.O., Doh Kyungsoo, has finally announced a new chapter of his solo career. On Sunday, June 9, his agency, Company SooSoo, officially confirmed the release date of D.O.’s first full-length solo album through an eye-catching video teaser. Titled BLISS, the project is slated to drop on July 7, 2025, at 6 PM KST.

In the brief but striking trailer unveiled alongside the announcement, the singer-actor appears in a tranquil, summery scene, lounging poolside with a cool-toned blue drink in hand. The imagery sets a laid-back, almost escapist mood, potentially offering a preview of the album’s relaxed, feel-good concept.

While further details remain under wraps, the 34-second clip’s visuals seem to mirror the essence of the album’s title. BLISS suggests D.O.’s transition to a more defined solo identity following his years of success with his group, EXO, and his previous releases. Anticipation is high among fans for what’s shaping up to be a pivotal moment in the artist’s musical journey.

Further details, including a title and tracklist, have yet to be announced.

D.O. breaks the internet with blonde reveal, possible album clues ahead

D.O.’s full-length album BLISS release date announcement comes after he was spotted sporting bleach-blonde hair for the first time during his recent Japan visit. The sighting quickly spread across fan communities after photos and clips of him casually dining abroad surfaced online on May 28.

Among those present at the meal was actor Kim Woo Bin, adding fuel to speculation about a potential upcoming collaboration.

While K-pop idols often rotate through high-impact style concepts and trend-heavy aesthetics, D.O. has long stood apart. He had maintained a signature look that was subtle and grounded, opting out of experimental hair colors, visible piercings, or tattoos.

But his shift to a striking platinum shade isn’t just a visual shake-up; it’s a symbolic departure from the image he’s carefully cultivated over the years. The unexpected change has left fans wondering if it's connected to an upcoming album, and they were right, as the singer has announced to release his latest project, BLISS.

The EXO member’s new music marks his first major release since dropping his winter single “Snowfall at Night” in January. He made his solo debut in 2021 with his extended play Empathy, which earned Platinum from the Korean Music Content Association (KMCA).

This was then followed up with his 2nd solo EP, Expectation, in 2023, while Blossom was unveiled in 2024.

Other than his first full-length album, D.O. is also slated to kick off his Asia tour “DO it!”, with stops spanning from Seoul to Taipei, Manila, Tokyo, and more.
