F5ve is reportedly all set to drop the music video for Sugar Free Venom, featuring Kesha, on May 5, alongside their debut album, SEQUENCE 01.
The Japanese girl group announced their debut album via LDH Records/Three Six Zero Recordings, and it also comes alongside a new single and music video for their track, Magic Clock. Furthermore, the band, (pronounced 'fi-vee') will also be launching their first merchandise line and physical album pre-orders.
Variety has reported that their album will have 11 tracks, and has been executive produced by Grammy nominee BloodPop. The album also features additional production from A.G. Cook and Hudson Mohawke, and is a concoction of dance, rock, funk, and hyperpop. The band previously dropped singles from the album like UFO, Underground, and their debut track, Lettuce.

The Japanese girl band F5ve comprises J-pop veterans, including Sayaka, Kaede, Miyuu, Ruri and Rui. While the former four are known for their roles in Happiness and E-Girls, the latter is known from iScream. The band has been gaining traction in recent months, seeing as they co-signed from prolific artists like Rosalía, A.G. Cook and Grimes.
According to Variety, F5ve describes themselves as:
“inter-dimensional dream agents from Tokyo” whose mission is “to infiltrate the subconscious mind to eradicate self-doubt and bad vibes.”
As for their track, Magic Clock, here's how Rui feels about it:
“This song lets you time-travel through exciting memories of the past and future, or to precious moments spent with your loved ones,” she said, according to Variety.
As for Sequence 01, their label vows to deliver:
