Everything you need to know about Haim, Lorde, Addison Rae, and Marina's forthcoming albums:
After a long hiatus, Grammy-winning songstress Lorde is making a comeback with the debut of her fourth studio album. The New Zealand singer-songwriter took to her website to make the announcement, claiming that it was "100% written in blood."
As for Addison Rae, she announced that an album was forthcoming when she took to the stage at Coachella sporting a sheer robe and underwear that had the date of her album's release embossed over it.
At the time of writing, further details about the same remain unclear, though here's how Rolling Stone, which got the chance to listen to it for Addison Rae's cover story, describes it:
"What she shares are hypnotic, trance-like pop songs, pulsating and lush, which will no doubt accomplish the primary goal of Rae and her collaborators: to make people dance. The lyrics are threaded with images of a life that’s young, fun, and free: being naked on a beach, flying to Paris on a whim, being drunk at a bar. There’s no ego or self-seriousness; as we hear her exclaim 'I’m the richest girl in the world!' toward the end of one track, she laughs at herself with her whole body from behind the wheel."
Haim has already dropped the single Down to Be Wrong off their forthcoming album, having delivered a live performance of the same just two weeks ago in Los Angeles. They also brought Addison Rae out on stage to join them for their new track Blood on the Street.
Lastly, Marina's sixth studio album follows up on her 2021’s Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land, and it is already available for pre-order. Speaking with Rolling Stone last year, she teased fans with what to expect from her:
"I feel like this next record’s going to be important, and I think the poetry book is also reflective of that. I’m able to take a left turn and do something that was genuinely just for the joy of doing it. I’m in a separate part of my memory bank. That’s how it feels."
Marina's forthcoming album will bring fans a total of 13 tracks.
