Bobby Shmurda's upcoming Still Alive Tour has been canceled amid claims of low ticket demand. These claims have been put forth to the public by his booking agent, Philip Stengel, and have raised questions about the rapper's current standing within the music industry. Shmurda, for his part, hasn't gone down without a fight and instead has put the blame squarely on Philip Stengel and Sergio Patillo of Halo Touring and Oakstreet Media, respectively.
In light of the recent events and the abrupt cancellation of his tour, Bobby Shmurda took to Instagram to express his opinions on the matter. Agent Philip Stengel, on the other hand, didn't take too kindly to the statements given by Shmurda and gave his version of the events on social media, in which he said:
"Let's be clear: the tour was canceled because average ticket sales across markets were 10 per city. That's not viable under any circumstances-no matter the artist or budget. Bobby Shmurda chose to publicly vent rather than acknowledge performance metrics. His frustration is understood, but the numbers don't lie. The problem wasn't promotion-it was demand. This industry isn't about emotion; it's about execution. If 10 people are buying tickets, there's no show. Period. This post was a distraction. The facts are the facts."
The interaction between the two has evolved into an ugly spat on social media, with both parties leveling allegations at each other. While Shmurda accuses the agents of not working hard enough to spread the word, the agents claim that the poor demand for tickets made the show unviable for the organizers. In the feud between the two parties, netizens chose to side with the latter and came out all guns blazing against Bobby Shmurda:
"Bro went to prison and lost all his fanbase", said one fan.
"Yea he kinda fumbled the bag by getting out and acting zesty with them snow bunnies", quipped another.
"Bro lost all momentum when he refused to drop music after he got out then he started shaking his hips like let’s be fr", said another fan.
"Should’ve did a Tour After Released from jail , a lil too late now", remarked another fan.
The reactions didn't stop there, as the 10 tickets became a punch line on the internet. Some fans even suggested a different career path for the rapper:
"What did Biggie say.. UPS is hiring", mocked one fan.
"Bobby shmurda should have his own show or something or someone should help set him up with twitch/streaming before he went jail he had a vibrant personality", suggested another.
"They purposely tryna embarrass him cause ain’t no way bro only sold 10 tickets per city", wrote another fan.
Bobby Shmurda - A brief history

Bobby Shmurda rose to fame in the early 2010s when his breakout single Hot Boy, and his viral hip-hop song Shmoney Dance were released. Everything seemed to be dandy for the rapper until his momentum was halted by legal issues as he was convicted on charges of conspiracy, weapons possession, and murder in 2014. Subsequently, he was sent to jail for 7 years, and he came back into the fold in 2021 when he was released from jail.
Shmurda has been struggling to rekindle the magic that accompanied him for much of the early part of his career ever since. The abrupt cancellation of his Still Alive Tour may have thrown a spanner into the works, but it remains to be seen if he will be able to recapture his former glories.
