Megan Thee Stallion doesn't seem all too happy with her new song's performance.

The songstress, who dropped Whenever last week, can be seen lamenting over its status on the US Spotify chart in a video doing the rounds online. The track debuted at No. 157 on the chart, clocking in at 366K streams.

In the clip, Megan Thee Stallion can be heard saying, as she seemingly appears dissatisfied:

"I don't even like addressing nothin', and I think that's why it's hard for me to spit it out," she began. "I feel like something gotta change. Something gotta change from the hotties' and me. Maybe I need to come back when I feel like I can articulate what I wanna say better."

Fans have since begun reacting to Megan Thee Stallion's video with advice, consolation, and humor. Here's what one user penned on X, for instance:

'“somethings gotta change” yeah that damn flow'

The comments didn't end there:

"Asking her fans to change when she can’t change her flow is crazy work," one naysayer penned.
"Can’t articulate what you want to say on a live but expect to go top 10 with your lyrics. LOL," another poked fun.
"Begging your fan base to help you succeed isn’t corny ? Find a new flow every song sound the same," someone else suggested.
"Meg has a lot of potential but her latest song just sounds like a worse version of her last few songs. She’s falling into the same trap Da Baby did. She found a unique style but she’s ruining it into the ground. She needs to evolve & try something new because it’s getting stale," a fourth user penned.

Even more chimed in to opine:

"Unfortunately, I think it’s because a lot of her music sounds the same from the beats to what she raps about and it’s time for her to begin a new stage in her career she’s been playing it safe for a long time and it’s time for a change," one user suggested.
"This is just a case of y’all hating Meg for no reason, bc she has NO songs that sound alike. Shes actually one of the most versatile artists out rn. Be unbiased for once," someone else defended.
"Hate to say it, but some artist NEED label support. Her music ain't bad, her marketing is," yet another shared.
"It’s really not about the flow. We want music we can sing to our man, twerk down in the club, or vibe to while we getting dressed. She needs to tap back into her Tina Snow and Cognac Queen era ASAP!" one fan penned.

Responses were visibly varied online, though a large number of users felt like the newest additions to Megan Thee Stallion's catalog have all been too similar, with many suggesting that she take a break and come back with some fresh tunes.

Megan Thee Stallion released the music video for her track Right Whenever alongside it, though she unveiled its Western movie poster-styled cover art last week. In it, she can be seen clad in a cowboy hat, while the taglines read, "It's whatever, b—-, it's whenever, h-!"

At the time of writing, it remains unclear if the singer will be including this track as part of her upcoming Act: III album, which she revealed during a recent TikTok live was currently in the works.

"I'm really just trying to figure out who do I want to do features with at this point in life," she said. "I only want to do features with people that … one, I haven't done a feature with yet, and two, that I listen to on my own time — people that I actually, you know, f— with."

Megan Thee Stallion also expressed a desire to work with Doechii, who is on her "album wish list."

The Savage rapper also made headlines earlier this month when she took to the stage at Coachella and invited a star-studded lineup as her guests. On stage at the Indio, Calif., music festival, she brought out Queen Latifah, Ciara, and Victoria Monét.

However, her performance was laden with technical issues, and the singer had her mic cut off as she was belting out Mamushi, indicating that she had run over her set time.

At one point in her set, visibly frustrated, Megan Thee Stallion yelled, "Somebody better come out here and fix my motherf---ing microphone!" At the end, when her sound was cut off, she said, "Don’t do the hotties like that."
