Former K-pop group EXO's member Tao is about to launch his new sanitary pad brand in China and has announced an impressive salary for his employees.

K-pop group EXO member Tao has recently been making waves with a great business venture. The idol is launching his own sanitary pad brand in China called Domyway, also pronounced Duowei. But that is not the only reason the brand is making headlines. As news outlets report, potential employees are bound to receive nearly five times the national average monthly salary in China.

According to a recruitment notice made on a Chinese job posting site, the roles have been described as “women-friendly” workplace and “no academic major restrictions,” and seek to fill positions including e-commerce channel manager, live commerce host, product manager, video production editor, design specialist, and distribution sales lead.

The salary for the distribution sales lead position was what caught the eye of most applicants, as it was listed at 30,000 yuan (approximately $4,125), while the national average was 6,050 yuan as of 2023.

Besides offering a healthy work environment, the singer and actor also has another goal. He previously explained that he launched the business to combat the unsustainable disposal of women's hygiene products. This rose from public concern after a waste recycling company was repackaging and selling failed sanitary products.

Along with this, Huang also mentioned wanting full transparency as he promised to livestream the production process around the clock and build a factory with his wife and business partner Xu Yiyang.

Xu and Zitao have been close for a long time, as they both were rookies under SM Entertainment. While the latter debuted with EXO, Xu debuted in China in 2019 as part of Legal High. Last year in August, he proposed to her on the Chinese show ‘Dare Or Not’,

“You are the one who will be with me until the end. My entire life, this lifetime, every day, every moment, every night, I want that person to be you. So, this is my last challenge on the show. I dare to marry you, do you dare to accept?"

To which she responded,

“I dare."

The two later tied the knot in December 2025.

Tao's EXO career

Huang Zitao, who is better known by his stage name Tao, had the role of Lead Rapper and Vocalist in the group; however, his unique style of blending martial arts with dance was what brought a distinctive flair to the EXO subgroup EXO-M. The subunit was created to promote their Chinese releases of the group along with Chen, Kris, Xiumin, Lay, and Luhan. He debuted with the nine-member group in 2012, but only stayed for three years. He left the group in 2015 after filing a lawsuit against the agency, SM Entertainment, to terminate his contract, citing health concerns, following Kris and Luhan.

After leaving, he started his own entertainment agency, Z.Tao, and has been actively working as a solo artist and actor in China, while he has also shared his personal struggles with his loyal fanbase candidly.
