Good Things Festival 2025: Complete lineup, presale, dates, and more explored

Australia's biggest alternative, punk, and metal festival, Good Things Festival, is officially returning this December. The confirmed lineup is a mix of heavyweights and rising acts.

Good Things Festival 2025 will hit Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane from December 5 to 7, 2025. It will feature headliners Tool, Weezer, and Garbage alongside more than 30 artists. They span from rock, metal, hardcore, punk, and pop.

Good Things Festival is now in its sixth edition. It is all set to bring its 2025 lineup to three East Coast cities over one weekend. Since its debut in 2018, it has gradually grown into one of the country's most beloved heavy music events.

Good Things Festival announced the 2025 edition's lineup via an official Instagram post, which read:

YOUR Good Things Festival line-up is here 💥 🦄 Beyond mere tales of fable and fantasy, the next chapter of heavy music folklore is already waiting to be told. Good Things returns for 2025, bringing along a stellar roster of international legends, local heroes, and budding dreamweavers ready to create musical magic."

Tool will make their first Australian appearance in over five years at the 2025 Good Things Festival. It will be their first festival slot here since the Big Day Out in 2011. The band's career spans from 1993's Undertow to 2019's Fear Inoculum.

They will share top billing with Weezer. The 2025 Good Things Festival's headliner trio will be completed by Garbage. They will be back in Australia for the first time in almost a decade. Led by Shirley Manson, the band mainly rose to fame in the '90s with hits like "Stupid Girl" and "Only Happy When It Rains." Their latest album is Let All That We Imagine Be the Light.

Ticket sales:

• Presale begins on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 10 am AEST via the official GTF website.
• General sale opens on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 10 am AEST via Oztix.
