GOT7's BamBam just took part in a historic event as he performed at Grace for the World, the Vatican's first-ever public concert in 2000 years.
On Saturday night, September 13, St. Peter's Square lit up with golden lights and welcomed over 300,000 attendees to witness the impressive lineup of artists on stage. BamBam emerged after Beninese-French songstress Angélique Kidjo's performance, who introduced the Thai-born K-pop star:
"Please, help me welcome my brother from Thailand, BamBam!"
BamBam, looking sharp in his gray-and-black checkered suit, serenaded the spectators with "Angel In Disguise," a track off his forthcoming album HOMETOWN.
Prior to his act, the GOT7 star took to his X (formerly Twitter) to confirm his appearance, writing:
"i hope my music will bless you all tonight see you soon Vatican."
True enough, following his performance, social media exploded with praise for the "Last Parade" hitmaker, predominantly from Ahgase, the group's devoted fanbase.
"It was so impactful and BamBam sang Angel in Disguise from the HOMETOWN album at the Vatican I'm so proud of you @BamBam1A," a fan wrote.
"I was wondering what song BamBam would performing in such a secred stage at the Vatican, and he picked the song beautifully written for his mother and unconditional love," another commented.
"Bambam performing at Vatican City is NEVER in my bingo card so proud of him," an X (formerly Twitter) user chimed in.
"This is literally so unreal??? What do you mean BamBam performing at the Vatican and meeting the Pope. That’s so wild to see," one said.

BamBam meets Pope Leo XIV ahead of Grace for the World performance
Ahead of his performance at the Grace for the World concert, GOT7's BamBam met Pope Leo XIV at the 3rd Congress of the Fraternity of Humanity in Vatican City.
Per Vatican Media's photographs, the K-pop star is seen shaking hands and chatting with the pontiff. In a snippet, the K-pop idol stands beside Jelly Roll, who was also part of the roster.
The historic event also featured Jennifer Hudson, Karol G, Hip-Hop duo Clipse, Voices of Fire, John Legend, Teddy Swims, and a 250-piece international choir, including the choir of the Diocese of Rome.
The Grace for the World concert was co-directed by Pharrell Williams and Maestro Andrea Bocelli.
